Self-Care - As health or social professionals, we know all about self-care yet still find it hard to do. Or perhaps you weren’t taught anything about caring for yourself as part of your preparation for practice. We certainly weren’t taught how to cope with this post-pandemic world!
Effective self-care will increase your resilience and well-being. It is also an essential part of what helps us show up well for others.
Join me for the reset your self-care workshop to move to infuse self-care throughout your day and week in ways that strengthen your ability to show up for others and to face all the demands that your job throws at you.
In this workshop you will gain a greater understanding of
what self-care is, debunking some of those nasty myths that throw our self-care off track.
The causes of self-care difficulties for helping professionals.
How to say no and set boundaries.
Techniques to make self-care a fluid part of your day.
You will have an opportunity to
Reflect on your personal barriers to self-care, and identify ways of overcoming them.
Create a personalised fluid self-care plan.
Practice some techniques of mindfulness and self-compassion that you can include to support and enhance your fluid self-care.
You will leave knowing how to nurture yourself and keep your tank full.
Morning Tea and hot drinks are provided.
This is an in-person small group workshop and is limited to 16 places.
It will be held in Aucklands’ central suburbs.
